I have been attempting to compile a reggae vocal mix for two days, believe me i have a ton of new tunes to play but i just cant get it sounding how i want it....i finally realised that it was a soul jazz mix i had to compile ...yeah you know sometimes its like that, and when you take a little listen you will see that indeed i was in the right zone...this one is a serious melter!    Time to check some reggae from many dimensions of its sound.. not many djs are droping enough of the broad spectrum of the genre and although i love riddim tracks.  So much is being missed out..   Greetings everybody. I have seriously been neglecting my blog. Believe me its hard finding the time and energy it takes to keep it going. Been so busy at work and home life is pretty busy too. So i appologise for the  lack of posts so far this year....My bad as my daughter says. Had this folder on my desktop since Bob Marley's anniversary. Happy birthday Mr Marley he would be 66 this year. It got me thinking about what has come from reggae since the great man died. Big things.. I wonder what he would say about all the great artists that have come after him. His spirit lives on through the legacy he left behind, and im sure his smiling in paradise right now..So with all that said. Well typed, lets proceed with todays offering of thanks for another day. Every so often i get a bit nosey at whats happening in the reggae music scene particularly in  dancehall. It starts of quite a small curiosity and I cherry pick tracks that i like..until i have enough to put them in my musical cooking pot and  serve for our ears. I never stopped loving danchall music and i can still shake a foot or two. I just dont really like the slack talk. Or anyone preaching hateful words. It just don't do it for me.  And prefer something with a sense of purpose, A message. But sometimes one or two come along that make me laugh or are just plain cheeky.
