I have been attempting to compile a reggae vocal mix for two days, believe me i have a ton of new tunes to play but i just cant get it sounding how i want it....i finally realised that it was a soul jazz mix i had to compile ...yeah you know sometimes its like that, and when you take a little listen you will see that indeed i was in the right zone...this one is a serious melter!

Soulful Funky house vol 5 (The meltdown)

Greetings my musical junkies..Want some funky music. Well that is what i have prepared for you tonight. Just like sap in the trees in my garden, ive been feeling the funk rising over the last couple of days and luckily ive been shopping for some great new music for us to enjoy..

So put the troubles in the basement for an hour, put the children to bed, and dust of the dancing shoes.

i need to get some dance practice in before the end of the month. Im having my annual BBQ, its going to be really nice. The other artist not featured in this mix is Elisha Laverne Ep, Same vein. also released this month is Anthony Davids album As above so below..Have you got your copy yet..I featured the algebra duet last year.  I strongly recommend you buy it too. Theres alot of good music about the place Walter Christopher is another one that comes to mind too.

The Blossom is out and i definitely felt some warmth in the sunshine today...Have you dusted off your sunglasses yet? i think mine are a little broken, as i used them to repair Mr jo90's glasses way back in the wintertime...lol..

Greetings everybody. I have seriously been neglecting my blog. Believe me its hard finding the time and energy it takes to keep it going. Been so busy at work and home life is pretty busy too. So i appologise for the  lack of posts so far this year....My bad as my daughter says.

Had this folder on my desktop since Bob Marley's anniversary. Happy birthday Mr Marley he would be 66 this year. It got me thinking about what has come from reggae since the great man died. Big things.. I wonder what he would say about all the great artists that have come after him. (Cupids Hunt) Special Valentines Edition of the Couch

 

Yes Its that time of year The time for lovers!.This is the second year that i have participated in this global event.Cupids hunt is an online collaboration where podcasters, bloggers and djs from all over the web-sphere release a love themed podcast in honour of valentines day. Get ready to be filled with up with some amazing musical goodness. So tell me have you found your Mr or Ms Valentine? Were they what you imagined to be? Some of my friends have a criteria list that they wont budge an inch from. Well let me tell you if you have one of those lists. Rip it up!...Love cannot be controlled, categorised, or tamed.

Cupids Hunt Podcast Collaboration Comming Valentines Weekend!!!

Hello..its been a while...February...the month of love, we certainly need something to get us to spring. 2011 reggae vybz (Hand picked mix)

Every so often i get a bit nosey at whats happening in the reggae music scene particularly in  dancehall. It starts of quite a small curiosity and I cherry pick tracks that i like..until i have enough to put them in my musical cooking pot and  serve for our ears. I never stopped loving danchall music and i can still shake a foot or two. I just dont really like the slack talk. Or anyone preaching hateful words. It just don't do it for me.  And prefer something with a sense of purpose, A message. But sometimes one or two come along that make me laugh or are just plain cheeky. Added  in combination with a reggae conscious twist just to balance out all the seasoning.. Sounds nice....
Been Checking out some Brand New riddims and hand picked a few for you to check out. I Really like These...Datta Riddim Old Bring New Riddim, Screw Dem Riddim (Wow, Dare you not to jump to that one) Billie Jean Riddim.

Happy New Year! Its Been a few weeks since my last post. Got My nose firmly to the grind stone. On a mission this year  for a really nice holiday to an island somewhere warm. So lets have a little time out break with  some sweet soul selection. I have called this a lucky dip coz thats what it is...This is from my current playlist in the car. So welcome to the soundtrack of my world right now... I slipped in  my favourite track by the late great Tina  marie who passed away Christmas morning. So very sad about that. There are one or two gospel tunes in this one. I am not a religious person. I dont belong to anybodies club. But they have a real spiritual message that uplifts the soul and that to me is as close to God as one can get... Love is my message.
