My Dear friend Mel Jam asked  me to make her a hot chocolate mix. Its been snowing heavy in london all week. Temperatures currently are minus 4 and We need a little winter warmer. Sunday... The house is peaceful and I have 2 whole days off. So i guess you can say that im feeeeellllllinnnng Nice!. Made this very early this morning. Its been waiting to be conjured up into something yummy all week, but every time i set a little time to compose, duty calls me... A Couple of weeks ago i went to see Tarrus Riley in concert...my gosh he did not disappoint! brought me to tears a couple of times...lol...what a voice!.. David rodigan warmed up for him..Gosh for an older man he still has bundles of energy..But im sorry to say..He cant dance...was very funny seeing him doin his thing on stage, out of time and rhythm to music that ooozes it..Wow!..i think he was dancing to the lyrics, because i couldn't tell what was moving Him!..Bless you Mr Roddi Roddi Roddigan lol. One of the first reggae djs that i listened to regularly... Cant quite put into words how reggae music makes me feel, but if pushed, i would say that it makes me feel in tune with myself and the world. ...

Gregory Anthony Isaacs  (15 July 1950 – 25 October 2010) The Cool Ruler died this week after a long battle with Lung Cancer. I cannot tell you how sad i am. "Gregory was well-loved by everyone, his fans and his family, and he worked really hard to make sure he delivered the music they loved and enjoyed," his wife said. "He will be greatly missed by his family and friends." (BBC News) Another of my ultimate male reggae artists passes. Ive put together some of my personal favourites Tracks. It was very difficult to choose as i have so many Gregory songs. A Great Loss to the music and a pioneer of Reggae music. Rest In Peace Sir. One of my most favourite voices of reggae and another artist who was the soundtrack to most of my life. Been digging about in the loft this week an found some massive tunes from a long way back. Once upon a time in deepest South London, back  then, this young woman would blast certain songs from her front room.... I used to really piss of my neibours, I lived in a tiny flat in a tower block and there was this really grumpy racist woman lived above me, She used to bang on the cieling coz me music was too loud...lol.... Every time she saw me comming in or out the block she'd shout out nasty things to me...I used to laugh, and it only made me play my tunes louder...Oopps.... ive just discovered that somebody made a complaint about some of the content of my blog...i have taken the thing they found to be offensive down...This is my hobby, if i put it up here its because i love it..im not making money from this, purely a love of music and beautiful images i find on the internet. i appologise to the complainant i mean no offense.... i did not realise i was breaking any rules. still ive taken it down now. i dont know what it was as i have not received an email outlining the complaint... Last Friday i had the privilege to attend an interview with one of my favourite current reggae artists.. Gyptian. Currently touring Europe and after the huge success of hold yu, hes fast becoming the one to watch breaking the main stream charts. I think hes the first reggae artist to do so since Wayne wonder with no letting go.. its a very big deal!.. Reggae as a genre of music has so much talented artists and should not be locked out of the main stream music industry.... why is not more on MTV!!!! As you can imagine i was extremely excited to have a chance to meet him. With no time to prepare, and already very late, we were shown into a very hot studio and as you will see, i missed the very beginning of the interview... camera woman...lol.. Mr Flava being the true pro he is dived straight in....... A truly nice guy and a very talented young man... i was only sorry i didn't get his autograph, as there was a long line of other media types queuing at the door to get in.. But i did...

Another Founding Father of Reggae and the Dancehall Sadly left us Yesterday. Sugar Di Boom Boom Lincoln Barrington Minott and one of my ultimate favourite artists. The original girls dem Sugar, he exploded onto the scene from the foundations of studio one as an apprentice to Coxon Dodd. So many Great Songs to choose from 4 decades of music, he has such a unique beautiful voice and went on to give many many young performers their first platform on which to stand. and he was still recording, until his passing.
